Coyle Park & Point Chev Beach (Point Chevalier, Auckland, NZ)

It’d just finished raining and my little mint was desperate to play out, so we decided to take a trip out to Point Chev for a play in the park.  I brought old towels to dry off the playground equipment and spare clothes for my little mint.  (The dirtier the clothes get, the more fun she’s had.)

We started in the playground.  There’s plenty to do here for a range of ages, including a flying fox for older kids.  My little mint loved running around the wooden play area and in the (very wet) grass.

After we explored the playground, we went for a wander down to the beach.  As we walked down to the beach, we could see a BBQ area.  The beach area was very calming and there were several groups of walkers on the beach.  My little mint had a mild tantrum when I stopped her attempting to swim home, so we headed back up for a second visit to the playground.

After a good run around (and ready for nap time), we used the toilet/changing block to get some dry clothes on before heading home.
